New Hobby

So much for trying to be a regular at this. I have so much admiration for my friends who are able to post weekly or more than that pics of their kids and just what is on their mind that week. I am sure as I get used to this I will be more frequent.

So my new obsession is DIY projects. I have been very inspired by Pintrest, The Young House Love blog and others out there that are decorating parts of their homes from thrift, garage sale, or craiglist finds that they put their own touch to. I have since started to collect/hoard things to put my spin on. The only problem I have run into is $$$$ and time. I know DIY is supposed to be the frugal way to go but as of now I have a TIGHT budget. I also am so new on this scene that I want anything I see that is cool and right NOW!!!!! I am sure as I mature in this new creative outlet I will develop a more keen eye and the ability to let things go. But now anytime a see a cute dresser I think I HAVE TO HAVE IT. I am not sure where I would put these said dressers but I see so much potential on these things. My current search list is:

• twin bed frame for Kin's bed
• bench for the end of our cal king bed ( I want a long one)
• picture frames for all the Pintrest printables I am hoarding
• accessories for the top of my dresser

So as soon as I more over to our newish PC I will take before photos of my January finds for before shots so I can document the process.

Well that's my new outlet, and I will say I am happier than ever. I am sure some of my friends think I am crazy with how excited I get over some of my deals. But please give a mama a break. I stay home with my little peanut and I do need to have some creative outlet to stay ME. Being a stay at home mom is a great blessing, but it's so much harder than I pictured. When I worked as an event planner I was able to funnel some creativity/organizing love into my job. I am so happy that I have found a new hobby.
